  • Memphis Blogger Meet Up

    Hello Honeybees,

Friday night I attended the first meet up of Memphis Blogger Mastermind Group (MBMG).  MBMG is a network of like-minded creatives who are passionate about sharing ideas with the world. Since I’ve been blogging I have always admired how bloggers in other cities were able to come together to share and network. Well we can now add Memphis to the list.

The meet up was held at The Lab-Memphis Fashion Week.  This is such a creative space.  If you are into fashion or design this is the place for you.  Drop by for a visit. You will not be disappointed.

Being able to hear from “The Real Life Willy Wonka”, Chef Phillip Ashley was a perfect addition to the meet up. The lessons, experience and advice were memorable. Sampling his chocolate creations was icing on the cake.

  • Chicks Who Mix

    Hello Honeybees,

I love new experiences and recently I attended my first, but not my last, Chick Who Mix, The Southern Comfort Edition.

    Talk about fun!!

The location was perfect.  300 South Main Gallery.  I love the South Main district. I hope to make it home one day.

The weather was HOT, HOT, HOT but inside was cool.

The food was just enough that you could have a little something on your stomach.  Alcohol on an empty stomach is not a good thing for me.

Everything that we needed to mix our drinks was provided in such a creative presentation.  Our bartender was so sweet and patient with us.

I only knew one person before I got there but that was not the case by the time I left. I discovered that the person sitting next to me also loved to thrift and she owns one of my favorite cupcake shops.

We mixed, laughed and had a great time.

I enjoyed all of my drinks. The thing that I liked most was that I could make my drink as strong or not as strong as I wanted.  Since I’m not a heavy drinker. I made my drink to my liking.  I finished all of my first drink but I had to slow down after that.

This was a great way for me to kick off my birthday week.

I even won the grand prize. The best chocolate in Memphis and the Mid-South.
